Mission Vatsalya

Open Shelter Home for Children in Need Providing Care, Protection, Education and Hope for vulnerable children across Manipur.

About The Programme

Supporting Children Since 2002

Social Development and Research Centre (SDRC) has been implementing the Open Shelter Home Programme since 2002 for the welfare, care and protection of street children in urban and semi-urban areas.

The programme provides community-based non-institutional care for children facing neglect, abuse, exploitation, homelessness and hazardous working conditions.

Implemented under Mission Vatsalya and the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS), the shelter supports children referred through the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Thoubal.
