About Shakti Shadan
Empowering Women Through Protection & Rehabilitation
SDRC, Phouden has been successfully running Shakti Shadan (formerly Swadhar Greh Home / Short Stay Home) at Mayang Imphal Bangoon, Imphal West since 1st March 2005.
The programme provides temporary shelter, care, rehabilitation and support for women and girls who are facing family problems, social ostracism, mental stress, exploitation and other difficult situations.
From 2022-23 onwards the programme has been implemented as Shakti Shadan under the Ministry of Women & Child Development through the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur.
